The wind that blows, the ship that goes and the lass that loves a sailor

*Blows the dust off this thing*

A couple of weeks ago my Mum basically summed up my summer after graduation by handing me a journal with the words: "Here's something for you, there's a crossword about superheroes on page 70 and one about football on page 80."

Though by now, since the Euros are done (NO I DO NOT WHISH TO TALK ABOUT IT UGH) I would ( Read more... )

So I finally saw Batman, which means I can read this without being afraid of spoilers and I got an apropriate icon to use in this comment, so now I'm all set to comment!

Our summer theme is awesome. And yes, it's alwayd duty. Or duteh, if you ask Sean Bean.

I liked Batman. It wasn't quite up to The Dark Knight, but it was a good end to the triology. I spent most of the film feeling sorry for Alfred, though, it was so horrible when he left Bruce:( I'm still confused about Bane's voice, though, it was so nice it almost made me root for him sometimes.

Ooh nice and shiny icon. What does it say, I can't quite make it out?

DUTEH! We haven't seen Sharpe in an age and a half now. I'm getting Sharpe-withdrawal :/

Alfred :'( He is the best character in all of comics. And yeah, my heart broke for him and no matter what anybody says I'm going to keep believing he and Bruce talked to each other afterwards. Bane sounded way too nice (and sometimes way too alike Liam Neeson), it was confusing I agree. I wonder if they were after some dynamic, symmetry thingy with Batman's voice :P

I can't make it out either, but I think it was called off into the sunset or something like that, so I'm guessing that's what it says.

We must have moar Sharpe!!! Why are we never at home at the same time?

Of course they did! What's Alfred supposed to do with his life if he doesn't have Bruce to look after? And who's going to take care of Batman and Catwoman's children when they're off fighting crimes if Alfred's not there? I think Bane's voice sounded particularly nice when he was talking to Batman, because honestly, Christian Bale's Batman-voice is kind of silly. M said that Bane had another voice at first, but when they test showed the movie (or parts of it) to some people they couldn't undertand what he said so they had to change it.

IDK D: We must try to at least watch one more Sharpe episode before K goes back to uni again!

Rather "what is Bruce suppose to do without Alfred in his life, the man does everything for him" I'd say :P Batman and Catwoman actually has a daughter on a another world, though I think they got her while Catwoman was still "evil" or at least "not good". In the main universe, the current Robin is the son of Batman and Talia Al Ghul. Maybe Batman should think about this habit of his.

I think both Bale's and Hardy's voices are kind of silly tbh. I read that some people had problem with Bane's voice but I didn't know they changed it. It makes sense that they did, but some people have problem have trouble hearing what Bale!Batman says as well and it seems like that voice just kept getting worse and worse...

Definitely! You'll just have to make sure you don't work that Thursday and Friday before the roadtrip:P And I guess it would help if I/we could remember when people are at home, I was sure you were going to be in the countryside for the weekend, which is why I didn't bother to say anything about the karoliner at the Opera.

Lol, yes, it might make life easier for everyone if he stopped having children with evil women:P

It really does get worse and worse. It's kind of okay in Batman Begins, but then it just goes downhill. I don't really get why he thinks he has to change his voice so dramatically, i mean, what are the odds that someone is going to think "wait a minute, that's Bruce Wayne's voice!" But maybe it's part of the persona.

I can't remember when people are home either, I thought you were still up there and I was really surprised when I got a text from K stating that she was in Göteborg :P And don't worry about it, between my computer, my arm, the frustrations of not having a "proper" job and my brother being admitted to the hospital (he's fine though) I had a slight overrection on tumblr... :P

It would probably make life easier for Alfred at least :P

It's weird that he should be so anal about changing his voice while still showing part of his face, especially since he's pretty famous. But I suppose superhero comics and "making sense"... ;)

The universe really is not on your side this week, is it?:/ What's the matter with your brother, is it some allergy/astma-stuff? I'm glad he's fine now.

Making sense doesn't seem to be top priority in comics:P

(And speaking of when people are at home and not, I go away tomorrow, so I won't be at home nor on the internet for a week now.)

It's actually the other brother, he's having his gallbladder removed today. Which might not be fine-fine but at least it's not life-threatening so it's finer than it could be.

Right, have fun on the island! Don't get lost! :D

That doesn't sound very pleasant:S I hope it went well.

I didn't get lost even once!:) (And it has nothing to do at all with the fact that M had the map and led the way all the time.)
