This is a Three Musketeers post. Oh yes it is.

I feel a bit silly talking about spoilers for something first published around mid-1800* and that have countless adaptions in various forms and genres, but there AREN'T any major spoilers about the plot in this entry. I do, however, still talk about the film and little details that amused and bemused me so proceed with caution.

This was actually the first Musketeers-film I ever saw, and I haven't read the book, and as a total noob I really enjoyed the film (despite the lack of ninjas), so it's good to know that it's pro-approved too:) We actually went and got a dvd with two of the Richard Lester adaptions, so I'm soon to be educated:P

I actually thought D'Artagnan was kind of cute at times, but then I felt like dirty old lady and stopped...

Orlando Bloom's Bad Guy-voice rocks:D

Speaking of tumblr I've been checking yours basically every day since you sent the link and I'm getting one as soon as I think of a good name for it. Which is all your fault.

Not even the one with Kiefer Sutherland and Charlie Sheen? *shakes head* My poor child, how I have neglected you...

I love that you bought the Lester versions (well, two of them)! :D It's The Three Musketeers and The Four Musketeers right? I have that one too (unless there are several dvds with both of them, you never know).

I thought he was kind of cute at times too... And don't worry, he's legal ;)

A link that YOU ASKED FOR, I might add. And I'm so talking the credit and not the blame for this, so there. You can change your url too, if you wind up not liking the one you chose. hm...should I change mine...

Actually, I'm not sure I want to see the one with Charlie Sheen...

Yep, that's the one. I've only seen The Three Musketeers so far, but I liked it:) I have to admit (noob-warning!) that I thought it'd be more about the musketeers, seeing as how it's called The Three Musketeers and everything, but it felt like this one centered even more on D'Artagnan than the new one. The musketeers kind of stood for the comic relief and D'Artagnan (jag vill alltid stava det som i Loranga, Mazarin och Dartanjang) for the actual story. Do the musketeers go with him to England in the book? Because they didn't in this one and that felt kind of lame:S

He might be legal, but he's still two years younger than my little brother...

If you hadn't had a tumblr I wouldn't have asked for the link, so it's still your fault. The least you can do is help me think of a name.

Nah, it's okay, that one is a Disney movie from 1993 so it's not Two and a half men and #winning.

No, they're supposed to but get injured. You know, if I was doing a three musketeers film but didn't want to stick to the books I would so make a prequel, focusing solely on the three musketeers :D

My brother is two years older than me but I'm still older than his girlfriend... That felt a bit weird in the beginning though tbh.

What kind of name do you want? A quote from something or...?

Hm, I guess that's okay then. As long as he doesn't wear any of those hideous shirts he's always wearing in 2 1/2 Men I might not think so much about the fact that it's Charle Sheen. So, do you have it? When should we watch it?

I'd like to see that movie. You could do The Three Musketeers: The Origins:D

I think so. I just can't figure out what kind of quote. Dylan? Young? LotR? Something completely random?

I don't have that one unfortunately, I haven't been able to find it (at least not online). Which is weird because it isn't like it's some kind of obscure film, it's Disney with pretty well-known actors! Me and Misa actually talked about watching that and The Man in the Iron Mask (with Jeremy Irons and Gerard Depardieu). You know I'm always up for it :P

BRB WRITING THE SCRIPT :D

For some reason I immediatley thought of purplewordson(a)grey(background)/purple_words_on_(a)_grey_(background) but I don't know why, it's not a quote I normally associate you so strongly with...hm...

I'm game, I haven't seen the Iron Mask either:) I bet Movieline has it, they have everything.

DO IT! And later, when you film it, if you find that you need someone to play, say, a lady of the court with a nice dress, you know I'm always there for you:)

That's a good idea. I've always wanted a t-shirt with that quote and those colours, because it would confuse everyone except for Neil Young-fans, but I guess a tumblr with that name is as good as anything:)

How informative :P

You can be the young Milady if you like ^_^

I think you should definitely get(make) a t-shirt like that! Did I know you wanted a shirt like that? Maybe it's just something about you and that quote...

Very informative indeed. But I think that means that they have them in the...um... physical shop, down by the Opera.

Oh, I was thinking more like an extra, but sure:) Does a young Milady get to do fight scenes?:P

Maybe I've talked about it before, I've wanted it for a long time, but I've never got around to making it. It is a very good quote. And now: http://purplewordsonagreybackground.tumblr.com/
That's about as far as I've come. I don't know what to do now, you might have to help me. It's also a very long name, but oh well.(I seriously spent an hour thinking of wheather I sould spell it 'grey' or 'gray'.)

YAY \0/
And um, I'm still kind of a noob myself but now you start following people (like me!). On your dashboard you can search different tags (like neil young, game of thrones, lotr, whathaveyou), if you like them you can track them and... I'm not really sure what you're wondering? I don't think you can do anything "wrong" so just mess around and try different things :3
(I don't like the spelling 'gray'. Don't know why, never have.)

Btw 1, do you still want to borrow Tales of Beedle the Bard? It's so dumb, I had put it with your Eroica books but then I just didn't take it with me for some reason.

Btw 2, You know that paper I wrote just before Bokmässan and that I wasn't even sure I would get a passing grade on? I got a VG... :D

Yes, I think I have figured it out now. I didn't get the dashboard first, so I was kind of stuck at customizing my page and didn't seem to get any further *fail*... But I think I got it now. I still don't know what heading my pages should have though. *sigh* all these choices...

I'd forgotten about that, but yes, I still want to read it. I just started on Alchemist In the Shadows, though (the second part of the musketeers with dragons-series (d'Artagnan has a cameo in it:P)), so it might be a little while before I have time to read it.

Lol, need to practise you self-evaluation skills?:P Congratulations:D

I'm thinking of re-naming mine (url that is) but when I try to come up with something good I get stuck on lights_out_tonight. Thinking of changing my theme too. Hm...

He does? How/where/when/why? :P

Heh xD And thank you :3

What's wrong with lights_out_tonight?

The captain of the musketeers asks him to go fetch someone for him. So he's not doing anything especially remarkable, but it's kind of fun anyway. Otherwise I still don't know what to think about those books, the conscept musketeers with dragons ought to be awesome, but they tend to get kind of boring:S

Nothing I suppose, I think it's the _:s but without them the two T:s bothers me. I swear, my life is so hard sometimes. It's the opening line to one of my favourite songs :)

So...it's the captain's name M. de Tréville? :P It's too bad you find them a bit boring, that concept really sounds like it should be awesome.

Again, OT, but it's time for me to start writing my next paper and this time I'm writing about fanfiction :D

Life is full of difficult choices, isn't it? I'm not too fond of _:s either, but the two t's are weird too. But sometimes the _:s don't show, like in my lj-name.

He's comte de Tréville actually, but, yes, that's him:P Is he in the musketeers as well then?

I'm a bit jealous now.
