Drabbles
Lately, I've been really itching to write something but every time I try it just...becomes nothing.
So I did a meme/song promt/ thing.
Remember this thing that was floating around livejournal some time ago, where you put your music player on shuffle and wrote short drabbles to the songs that were played?
Fandom: Naruto
Rating: PG/ PG 13
Pairings: ShikaNeji, SasuNaru, Kakairu. Or the other way around since everything is nothing but implied.
Warnings: Not beta-read and written under time pressure, other than that, nothing. Quite fluffy in some cases^^
Radio Nowhere - Bruce Springsteen (ShikaNeji)
Neji walked through the rain, enjoying the fresh air and the feeling of freedom that came with it. He could easily had made a teleportation jutsu to get where he was going but he had been stuck inside all day, listening to the Hyuuga elders discussing things he'd never have a say in. Things concerning his future. He came to a halt before a apartment door, knocking slowly. He couldn't hide the forlorn look in his eyes as the door slowly opened, nor his small smile as Shikamaru stepped to the side to let him in.

The Konoha lake was still and dark. The moon had long since risen but the two boys sitting on the bridge could still hear the sounds from the people celebrating in town.
It had been a long day and neither of the boys spoke.
Then, suddenly, they both wiped around to look at each other
“I love you Sasuke
“Naruto, I love you.”

Iruka slowly turned the knob and opened the front door to his apartment. It had been a long day at the academy, the new students had begun their taijutsu training and when school was over for them, it was time for a long, tiring teacher meeting.
Iruka wanted nothing more than grab something to eat and the go to bed. Maybe he skip the meal and go straight to bed, that way he didn't have to make anything, Or do the dishes afterwards.
As he started to walk through the apartment a scent caught his attention and he made a beeline for the kitchen. Inside he found his boyfriend standing by the stove, wooden spoon in hand.
Something smelled delicious.
Kakashi turned around and smiled at him.
“I got back from my mission earlier than I thought, so I decided to make you dinner. I hope that's okay? It's nothing special, just...”
Iruka silenced him with a kiss.

“Shikamaru, what is this?”
They were lying in Nejis big bed, exhausted and sleepy and Neji hated himself for asking that question, he sounded just like a girl dammit.
“What do you want it to be?”
“Something...something more.”
“Something more?”
“Something...that's ours”
“Ours eh...?”
“Yeah.”
“Okay then.”
Living On The Edge - Aerosmith (Gen)
It was just the way things were in this world. There were few children playing in the park but many more shinobis practicing in the fields. There were few senior citizens walking in the streets in the mornings, there were many more names engraved in cold, hard rock.
There was not a tragic accident in which several teenagers lost their lives. There was just one more mission failed .

This was actually very fun to do. And a lot harder than I thought. I am very disapointed in the You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth-one, because i feel I could have written a much better drabble to that song. I just got so many possible scenarios in my head it ended with nothing. But still, it was very fun to do.
