Today is the hottest day on record for this date (in this area).
It is 98 degrees [f] according to the thermometer on the porch (which is in the shade).
So naturally the air conditioner chooses today to stop working.
AWESOME.
And as an added bonus, the guy who is supposed to fix it won't be available until tomorrow, after it cools down. Of course!

Today is just all sorts of fantastic.
On that note, you can tell which cats are the smart ones, because they're the ones chillin' downstairs where it's like, 10 degrees cooler.* The dumb ones are upstairs on the couch looking at me like, "Why is it not cool in here? It was cool in here yesterday. MAKE IT SO, HUMAN."
*You might be wondering why I'm not down in the basement chillin' with the smart cats myself. That is a very good question. The best I've got is: "But upstairs is where my computer is!"
