Around 4800 words on one fic, start to end. Granted, it sucks, and has a lot of completely useless filler where I went, "Hm. Well, I don't want to delete this section that I've started, but I don't know how to end this, so I'm just going to write something random and hope that it turns out okay." Plus it's kind of the story that never ends -- there's this lovely climax and then what looks like it could be an ending, and then it goes on for another 2000 words. And the whole thing is kind of pointless, anyway.
Yeah. So ... your basic drawer!fic. I suppose that if I did a lot of snipping and editing and such I could turn it into something that I wouldn't mind sharing with other people. But I'm definitely not going to do that tonight, if I ever do it.
Still. My favorite passage:
She frowns, glancing up at the high window, but the light is still flowing in -- it can't be more than five in the afternoon, at the very most. So it's probably not John, unless he's managed to get himself into trouble again.
On second thought, it probably is John.
