Dear flist,
is there any
platonic Sherlock & John fic out there?

I tried few fics that were tagged as "gen" over at sherlockbbc, when all of a sudden - hello, Sherlock and John are in bed together. lol
And while I do enjoy slash on the show, I find I can't quite read it. Sherlock has been one of my childhood heroes as long as I can remember and imagining him in sexual situations has a certain
ick TMI! factor, like it does with parents and family. So, yeah. I have a small problem there. :)

Speaking of, there are two outstanding Sherlock
vids:
Lose You by bigmamag.

"Eventually, everyone leaves Sherlock. John will too."
This vid is so so gorgeous and poignant. And it captures Sherlock's POV so well. And the music will make you ache even more. Just ♥.

Could Be Dangerous by lee-fragilidad.
Extremely energetic and fun, fast paced vid, with such great editing. And music is also perfect. This might very well be the vid to get people hooked on the show. *hinthint*

And one excellent
Doctor Who vid.
Run With Me by chaila43.
This is The best River vid I've seen so far. It shows exactly why I love River so much, and how fierce and awesome she is. :D

Also, have you read this interview with
Benedict Cumberbatch?
It's really great. I love how he doesn't seem to censor himself. At all. lol
His updated Sherlock Holmes may have traded the pipe for nicotine patches, but with ratings for the BBC show passing 7m, the actor is lighting up and laughing about the filthy exchanges about him on Twitter. “It seems girls are really going for my Shergar look.”

***

At the press launch of Sherlock he was asked if he minded being typecast as intense, clever, sexually ambiguous characters and, feeling relaxed, he risked a joke. “I’m here to tell you,” he announced, “that in real life I’m a f***ing fantastic lover!” He groans. “That got everywhere. Everyone was coming up to me going, ‘So, how good are you, exactly?’ Jesus Christ…”
