Bulletproof

Lie to Me.
That was a great pilot. I think I'm gonna enjoy the show a lot.
I find it more interesting than The Mentalist.

Skins series 3. Yeah, not impressed. It all just looks so typical. The characters are such stereotypes.

Bulletproof

What I loved:
1)
Clark.
I love how heroic and resourceful he was in this episode!
He proved he's a true hero, and that he knows how to motivate people to do good. And he also showed how capable he is with the undercover work. So yay for both hero and journalist Clark in this episode! \o/
It's interesting how dark Metropolis is, and how much corruption there is. And how big of a difference Clark will make in a future.
Also, it was lovely that he got to meet Danny's family, and see everyone he's helping. That seems to be a trend this season. And also the kid dressed as the RedBlueBlur was adorable.

"What I'm saying is that saving someone, truly saving them, is now about knocking them out and throwing them in the dark room. It's about helping them find their way back to the right side."

And that there is what Clark Kent is all about. ♥

Loved the little smile when Danny did the right thing! :)

Shallow thoughts: Clark in an uniform and in that grey tshirt? Yum!

Last scene thoughts at the end of the review.

2)
Clark and Ollie.
What I loved in this episode is that they were both right. They disagreed, but both had valid points.
I love when the show manages to show that they're both heroes, and that one doesn't need to overshadow the other one. It doesn't happen often enough for my taste, so when they do it right I'm always very happy. :)
Yay boys!

Plus I always enjoy the snark:
"Now you feel guilty, we get it, that's like your thing."

lol

3)
John Jonzz.
It's always a joy to have him in an episode!
He didn't get much screen time, but I absolutely loved that last scene with him, Clark and Ollie. The understanding between three man was fantastic. Especially the realization that it would be nice to have team/brotherhood as a back up.
"This sort of Brotherhood will make a guy feel like he can do anything."

Plus, it was cool to hear that him and Ollie have had few run ins, and know each other. :)

And what cracked me up the most - the fact that he has a toy Martian in a spaceship, hanging from the mirror in his squad car! lmaooo

4)
Tess.
Kicks ass. Even more than usual in this episode.
Also, it's nice to see that slashiness with all the gals on the show is still here, loved her scenes with Lana.
I'll say it once again, the show really got lucky with Cassidy, she's a wonderful actress. What a great scene when Tess realizes what Lex did to her. Chilling. And then when she shuts him out, brilliant! She just takes all the emotions, anger and hurt, and turn them into a weapon and makes herself stronger.
I'm starting to think if anyone can outplay Lex, it's Tess, and he pissed her off.
"I loved you...you son of a bitch."

And "Lex Luthor declared dead" on the front page of the Daily Planet.
Oh Tess, you're such a badass! \o/

5)
Lex.
Seriously, how freakin' creepy was that?! What he did to Tess.
So fucked up!
So worthy of a true villain. I so didn't see it coming.
I'm completely impressed and extremely creeped out at the same time.

6)
Lana.
I liked her in this episode, she just seemed more mature. She's actually interesting when she has something to do and not just sit around and be Clark's love interest.
She was on a mission, she knew what she wanted and how to get it, and managed to alienate Tess from Lex in the process.
Chick fight with Tess was cool.
And if next time they decide to have it with less clothes on that'd be fine with me too.

"If I squint just right, it's like we're 14 again."
"You say that like it's a good thing."

lol
I didn't even find her annoying in that last scene.

7)
Chloe.
It's nice that someone is thinking of Lois.

What I'm not thrilled about, but I possibly won't mind, depending on what they'll do in the next two episodes:
1)
Return of Clana.
I know Clark will get a lot of shit because of that last scene.
But there are two things to remember about Clark Kent:
a) He'll always want someone in his life. Someone who "makes it worth it". A family. Home.
b) He didn't get a chance for a proper closure with Lana last year. She just packed up and left, and dumped him with a video message. He still doesn't know why, and what went wrong.

So for Clark who was in only one serious relationship, and did whatever it took to make it work. Who gave everything he had, and told Lana all about himself, about his powers and origin. And it still wasn't enough because she left him. Well, it must be frustrating. Especially because he doesn't know why the relationship didn't work out.
He had no vote in that break up. He got home and she was gone. All he had left was a broken heart and a bunch of questions.
And while we saw him make the decision to move on and let go of the past this season - he really didn't have an alternative.
So with Lana suddenly coming back, of course he'd want some of those questions answered, and that it opened old wounds.
And lets face it, this is Clark, it takes a while for him to get some things. :)
Not to mention how in the past he always found his way back to Lana. It's like a Pavlovian reflex to the guy. It's just something he does.
So when he asked Chloe "It's not like you just stop loving someone like that, right?" I see where he's coming from because it's something he knows, something that always happened with the two of them, no matter whom they dated, they always ended up together again. And when Danny asks if he has someone who makes it all worth it, he goes to Lana, because she's all he knew, and the only one he's been in a serious relationship before.
He wanted all those things with Lana before. And then she left without giving him an explanation. But now she's back, and some of the feelings must have resurfaced because he never got the chance for a proper closure.
So yeah, the last Clana scene might piss me off as a Lois fan. But I believe that Clark needs this. He needs a chance to make that choice for himself. To realize that even though he wants all those things (home/family/someone in his life), he doesn't want them with Lana anymore. He needs to realize it to be able to move on completely. And they need a mutual break up.
Otherwise they'd always be "what ifs".

Granted, it might not play out like that in the next two episodes, and you'll probably hear me yell *a lot* after episode 14 airs. ;)
But for now, I refuse to get upset because this is definitely one story arc that is a 5 episode deal, and must be seen as a whole to get the full picture.

What I didn't like:
1)
No Lois. :(
This would have been a perfect episode for her to be in.
She'd get to be worried for Clark going undercover. And then proud after he wrote a story about the arrests and got published (BTW why didn't they show that? He did get an article out of the whole thing? I hope.).
But then again - I'm happy she's missing the full visual of Clana sorting their issues. Because - damn!
Hmpt.
