sup. so, it's 2009. feels a lot like 2008, honestly. too hot and windy and broke. yup.
hopefully the rest of the year will go well though, with the honours study at university, and Chris doing his PhD, and graduation/grad ball April, as well as Laura and Aean's wedding (YAY), and assorted other stuff. so, certainly lots to look forward to!
until February i don't really have a lot going. lots of work, lots of not-much-else. i can't wait til uni goes back actually. it's too easy to get into the habit of working all the time, and i really don't want to get sucked into the world of Full Time Retail. ohnoohnoohno. not happening. it's one of those things i've always said will never happen to me, and even if i have to give p a relatively good job and subject myself to something more miserable to remind me not to, i will. i refuse to be a permanant retail person. (libraries don't count. i'm looking at library!porn right now, and wow. there are some sexy libraries out there. i would totally hit that. or cross-reference that.)
oh yeah, was NYE last night. me and Chris sat at home watching tv and drinking beers. was amusing, though strange not to go to a big gathering... stupid people all going to Twizel. bah. so yeah. we watched old Top Gear and IT Crowd and crappy music videos. WTF C4 having a top 40 countdown and hitting midnight in the middle of song 13? someone didn't get their timing right.
hmm. am going to go see what we might have in the way of food.
