Yet another chronic illness..
Well - in addition to rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, chronic back problems, bladder problems (TMI much? ;) a weak immune system... my mom now has hypothyroidism. Which means her thyroids have given out. Which means, she was days away from a complete shutdown of her system, which means she is now on yet another set of pills for the rest of her life.
I already knew my mom wasn't going to live to be 80 - now I'm praying nothing else happens to take her away before she's 50. Okay - so I've said it. Those of you who pray can please pray - and I'm just not going to think about it anymore.
How long can I keep pretending everything's okay?
