Summary: Jeremy drops TJ off at the retreat center. TJ isn't pleased. (Tracy, don't read this until after I explain what it is I'm doing...lol)

“What the fuck is this place?” TJ pushed through the doors to find a lobby that looked minimal and modern. There was a square fireplace that was missing the bricks and a fake fire inside. Surrounding it was a simplistic looking pair of chairs and a sofa. Everything was beige. TJ felt like he walked onto a movie set.

“It’s called Willow Creek Center for Living. I told you on the ride up, remember?” Jeremy walked past TJ and around the lobby, stopping at a black and white abstract art that was over the empty desk on the right.

TJ frowned. He didn’t remember because he wasn’t paying attention. He knew Jeremy was granola and all, but never did he actually think that Jeremy would make him stay at a place like this. When they had pulled up, he was surprised it had actually existed. To be honest, he thought the whole thing was some strange scare tactic to whip him into shape. He never imagined it would be real.

“I’m going to go the bathroom,” Jeremy said. “Stay here till I get back. Or if the receptionist comes back, you can give them your name.”

“I’m not a child,” TJ said and watched Jeremy disappear down the hall. No, he definitely was not a child. He was twenty years old and perfectly capable of making his own decisions. He was also incredibly wealthy and didn’t have to be blackmailed by Jeremy. He couldn’t have really been serious about that, could he?

No, he decided and turned to the door, but standing there, blocking his way were two of their body guards. “Where the hell did you guys come from?” he asked, taking a step back in surprise.

Tommy, the bigger one, crossed his arms over his chest while he looked down at TJ. “Jeremy had us follow so there wasn’t any funny business.”

“What does he think I’m going to do?” TJ asked. “Steal the car and drive back to LA without him?”

They both stared at him with narrowed eyes.

“Whatever,” TJ said and turned back around. “I wasn’t going to run, so you two can back off.”

Jeremy was coming out of the bathroom at that point and stopped when he saw the bodyguards behind TJ. He sighed and put his hand to his head. “I can’t leave you alone for a second.”

“And I can’t trust you for a fraction of a second,” TJ shot back. “Really, D? You had them follow us?”

“You can’t trust me?” Jeremy put his hand down, faking a laugh before quickly sobering. “That’s a joke, right? I think you need a mirror.”

TJ took in a breath through his nose, and was about to tell Jeremy how it really was, when a side door opened, and a blonde lady stepped out towards the reception desk.

“Welcome to Willow Creek,” she said. “Are you here for the retreat that starts today?” When she looked up at Jeremy and TJ, she blinked twice and then froze, staring at them.

TJ let out his breath. He definitely knew the look of recognition and prepared for some serious fangirling. But then he was surprised because she put on a big smile and pushed a stack of paperwork towards them.

“There are just a few forms to fill out before I show you your room,” she said.

Jeremy pushed TJ to the desk roughly. “Go ahead… you can fill them out yourself.” He smiled at the receptionist. “Thanks for your help.”

TJ shot Jeremy a dirty look and then picked up the clipboard. The receptionist handed him a pen with the center’s logo, and he reluctantly took it and walked to a chair by the fireplace to fill out the paperwork. There was nothing he hated more than paperwork, and fortunately for him, he had lawyers and agents to do most of it for him, and when they didn’t, he had Jeremy--who was currently being a complete pain in the ass.

It was nearly a half hour later when he finally finished and shoved the clipboard over to Jeremy who looked it over and then brought it back up to the receptionist. “I’ll be leaving my friend here once he’s settled. It seems to me that this place is pretty deep in the mountains, and it’s difficult to walk to any town by foot. Is this true?”

The receptionist blinked at him. “Um… yes, that’s true. But we do have cars here--”

Jeremy put a finger to his lips to shut her up, and TJ sighed and looked back at the fake fire. Jeremy wasn’t going to let him out of this, he was sure of it.
