Summary: I watch too many 48 hours mysteries.


He took a breath. Then another. Oxygen filled his lungs and burned. Sweat was dripping from his forehead and into his eyes, but he didn't dare move to wipe it away. He only stayed where he was, crouched down low in the dark, hidden by the cover of the shrubbery, and tried to breath.

It was then that he looked down at his hands, and in the dim moonlight, he could see a deep laceration between his thumb and index finger. Blood was trickling onto his palm and beginning to dry.

Damn. That was going to be hard to hide.
