I HATE moving.
Unfortunately, I don’t have much choice. The place Holly and I live is a lovely century home. It’s a quiet little place with a lot of privacy in spite of it being on the main drag. It’s also our first place since we were married. The problem is it has all original windows and almost no insulation. This makes for high heating bills in the winter and we don’t think we’ll be able to survive another winter here with the way gas prices have been climbing.
Has much as I would love to find a place to buy, we don’t have much in the way of ready cash or shaky credit. *Shrugs* It happens. So that means finding another rental, and we aren’t going to get as lucky this time with landlords who understand pets. We both love our pets, but are going to have to cut down to one dog and one cat. We have places lined up for them, but that doesn’t make it any easier.
Besides the packing, I also have a new book to read. Well, several since Holly and I went to Boarders the other week. This one my Mom suggested and got for me. It’s written by a guy who is dissatisfied with organized Christianity, and his search for where there Church should be. Considering my own dissatisfaction with church culture, I’m looking forward to what he has to say.
