I had a pretty relaxing weekend, which was nice. Friday night I danced at a studio party. I had a whole lot of fun. People said the dance, which is a spiritual candle number, looked really good. Peaceful, even. Heh, it didn't feel peaceful to me. My hands shook the whole way through. Maybe dancing slow really is harder than dancing fast. There's no where for the nervous energy to go.
I did, however, have a lot of fun at the studio party. Three friends, each from a different area of my life, joined me at my table. They all seemed to get along and like each other pretty well. That was nice. I have friends! There was good food, too. I had a falafel sandwich. Yum!
Oh, also I wore a fantastic becoming dark blue velvet dress, and my makeup came out nice. Also I seem to have discovered how to use a curling iron. I looked pretty.
I got to bed fairly late Friday night because I was so wound up from the studio party. I slept in Saturday. I feel pretty sure I had a romantic dream in the night, but I can't remember anything else about it. Darn it!
Saturday I took it easy. I went shopping at Target - not for anything in particular, but just to get out of the house and procrastinate studying for my written final, which is today. I did study Saturday night, and then some on Sunday, too. I'm sure I'm ready.
Sunday morning I woke up with a start at 6 am, sure that it was Monday and I had forgotten to set my alarm. As I started wondering why I hadn't set the alarm, it slowly dawned on me that it was Sunday and I didn't have to work. What a nice feeling. I would rather have slept uninterrupted until 9 am, but being able to snuggle back into the warm bed was nice, too. When I finally did get up I puttered around picking up the house, and then studied some while riding my exercise bike. Somehow combining the two activities makes them both go much faster.
All around a nice, productive, but relaxed weekend.
