Hotel woes

May 10, 2008 10:36

I drove up to Canton last night to spend the night with rfunk, who is still helping his company move offices. Unfortunately he booked at the second worst hotel I have ever stayed in (the worst hotel ever had actual drunken brawls going on in the hallway). The bed is hard as a brick, and if my sore throat is any indication, full of dust mite poop. Our room is right next to the stairwell, and we heard people talking and opening the door what seemed like all night. The sound proofing here is almost non-existent. [Ed. from rfunk: "At least it has WiFi!"]

I woke up tired, with a sore back and a sore throat. And cranky as heck.

But I managed to fall back asleep, and my subconscious came to my rescue. I dreamed I discovered a mini Jacuzzi in the room, with warm water, plastic rings to massage my fingers and toes, and lots of neat massage thingys that relaxed my neck, scalp, and shoulders. I woke from the dream feeling much more relaxed. Yay subconsious!

I booked a Courtyard Marriott for tonight. No more Days Inn for me. Tonight we'll be hanging out with the_shampoo, then heading back to Columbus tomorrow in time for Mother's Day dinner.
