I have drugs!
Diagnosis: sinus infection. The sore throat is caused by post-nasal drip. The strep test was negative.
Prescription: Bactrim. Sulfa-type antibiotic.
I just took the first dose. With luck I will be well enough to go to work tomorrow.
Thank you everyone for all your well wishes. They really do make me feel better :)
One last thing. I also picked up more ice cream, which is necessary for it's medicinal properties of soothing my poor throat. Yay!
