I didn't say it was GW, I said it was his war.
However, more to your point, after 9/11 most people were more apt to go along with whatever the government said in the name of national security. They weren't interested in politics, they were interested in not having a plane smash into their office building. When something unknown happens to people they look to some authority to explain/defend them (in this case the government). When people take action, they generally see the results of that action and decide for themselves whether it is working or not (us going to war). People are seeing that the action we took in Iraq is not leading to the expected conclusion and that is making them question whether the decision was right or not. That has lead to a lot more people then normal think about politics, doing some general questioning of their own thoughts and beliefs and forming their own opinions as opposed to being sheep. That's what I'm excited about.
But, yes, people do react to planes flying into buildings, you are correct. I just think it makes them react differently then you do.
