Pretty pink daisies

So I'm just cruising along... the Internet, checking out people's LiveJournal thinkamabobs and low and behold (is that the phrase?), I see that people who I thought never knew I use to have a livejournal, suddenly have me listed as a "Friend." All this time I feel Australian going "WTF, mate?" Any who, I was contemplating bringing back this little sucker, so what the heck, why not? Anyone who happens to read this probably already knows a lot of this stuff about me, but whatever, you can bear to read it all. As of tomorrow, I will be a high school graduate from Apex High School. Apex is a great place to go. Honestly, despite all the messed up shit the school board does, the teachers in this place are fantastic; as long as you have the balls to go all out and get the upper level classes with the best teachers, i.e. Mr. Trezona, Mr. Thomas, Mrs. Barritt, Mrs. Mata.... and I know there're several more.

Anyways next year I'll be attending North Carolina State University, where I plan on studying Nuclear Engineering. It's actually kinda interesting (at least to me) how I came about this decision. When I was first looking a colleges, I was only planning on applying to Boston University, American University, UNC-CH, and Appalachian State, really only applying to App to have an in-state back up. But then I was applying for the Naval ROTC scholarship (military thing, pays for tuition, books and fees; have to take classes each year and do physical stuff and then have four year commitment to the Navy) and found out I needed three schools that had an affiliated NROTC program. At the time, only UNC-CH and BU had NROTC so it ended up I just applied to State to be able to apply for NROTC. But after some thinking about what I want to do, I decided that the math/science type major was better for me than something towards law school. So yeah, that's the deal with State.

Over the summer I'm working at the YMCA as a lifeguard. It's a nice job, though I'm kinda pissed at them right now. I told them I couldn't work this weekend and they schedule me for this weekend. Though kudos to Sarah for helping me out and taking my shift.

Anyways, other than that nothing huge. The day after graduation, my mom's throwing a huge birthday party for my grandma. Which is fine except I've been like a slave for the past week and I have to miss a lot of grad. parties to do this.

Feel free to comment, not sure who'll check this thing out.
