Today is the 92nd year since the start of the Armenian Genoicide and it also means that it has been 92 years of denial by the Turkish government.  Ironically tomorrow is also 92 years since the Gallipolli landings.  *sigh* People seem to only remember the Turks for "heroism" in defending their country on the western half, but no-one teaches them about the whole "killing innocent people, making women and children walk through the desert with no food or water, and attempting to wipe out another civilisation" thing which was going on in the East.

I hate it when history is covered up.

genocide, armenia
