once upon a time, malakhai and I created a music sharing blog together and since it was two of us, we went with the title "Two Divided by Zero" an obviously cool sounding name and homage to the Pet Shop Boys song from their debut album.
The blog really took off pretty fast, we got linked to The Hype Machine which was sort of a big deal, we brought on more contributors and we had people sharing all kinds of genres along with great backstories and personal stories of why they chose the songs. It really was a great blog.
malakhai left to create a new music blog of her own that was her own vision instead of a mish mash of a bunch of random people and genres. I wished her well and loved her new blog and she still contributed to some special posts at 2/0. Well, my life got busy at some point and my contributions were lacking, the other contributors started vanishing as well, and with the RIAA cracking down on people giving away free music, I made the hard decision to delete it.
Since then, I've always still had the urge to talk about music or even really any type of pop culture stuff, tv, movies, etc. well, malakhai started a new blog and it's great and it inspired me to get back into blogging about music and things I like.
I used to post music entries in this journal but those posts always got ignored lol. I needed another outlet, seeing her new blog I thought "fuck I need to blog again" so I'm in the process of creating a new blog. I won't be illegally giving out music anymore, but I'll discuss music, movies, tv, anything pop culture new or old that strikes my fancy on any given day.
But what to call this new blog? "Two Divided By Zero" is back, bitches!!!! What's even better is that malakhai is on board with me and will be doing a weekly music playlist which makes me really happy, the old blogging team reunited just like the old days.
I'm excited she's on board even if it's a limited capacity, I'm glad she didn't get mad at me for using our old blog name ;-)
I'm getting used to Wordpress so I only really have a theme and a welcome message up, once I figure things out, I'll get my entries written. It'll be nice having a creative outlet again.
