Now it's serious and it's official: Autism in the Global Village delayed (until further notice)

May 19, 2006 17:48

You will have noticed that both yesterday and today there has been no Global Village, the part-works (Churchill Style).

Those of you looking for your Autism in the Global Village fix, you will not be getting it (from me) for a long time perhaps.

Do read this press release to understand why:

(Now why does my health come first again?) :-) :-(

For those of you who don't know, Archif Pinot are the people who represent me in both literature and geopolitics. They are more or less my literary and psychological agency and cheerleading team.

Naturally I had to inform Jean-Marc and Francoise what was going on.

I have a third (minor and nominal - I don't get commerce as I ought - sadly managing money is not heritable, especially if and when it should take executive function) share in this partnership and have done since x.1997.

It will NOT be delayed too far, if I can help it. The entries WILL appear after May 27 2006, assuming everything does work out as is detailed below. This could be in one of several ways this scenario could play out.

“WHY MY HEALTH DOES AND WILL COME FIRST” EXPLAINS Autism in the Global Village DELAYER
A Commonwealth and European Literary/Geopolitical Press (Pinot Archive) Exclusive!

Dateline: Friday, 19.v.2006

“I really won’t be able to have it done this week,” said the all-too-obviously pressured Mlle Dupont from her home as she awaited her appointment with a counselor.
Essayist, novelist, poet, storyteller, proofreader and most recently citizen journalist/copywriter agitating for neurodiversity through her blogs, Adelaide Dupont, in her late twenties, late of Aix (Bouches-du-Rhone: France) and who first crossed stormy Anglo-Saxon waters at 9 (as in: I don’t get it - it being the Anglosphere), has been delayed by 2 days in her completion of the highly acclaimed Autism in the Global Village series.
Its European edition, released on 14.v.2006, was highly acclaimed when it appeared on LiveJournal <duponthumanite.livejournal.com> and Blogger <geopoliticallyincorrect.blogspot.com>. She also completed the African edition on the 15.v.2006, which too was well-written and gave a personal account and her passionate opinions on how persons with Autism Spectrum Conditions should be taken care of, in our virtual and real world alike.
With four continents to go, and two in her ‘New Internationalist-inspired’ Majority world, she had believed she was set to release North America and Australia.
Unfortunately, approx 9:30 UTC, Dupont had a nervous breakdown which was directly related to her concerns of suspected hypomaniac episodes sustained since 13.v.2006.
It’s not that she is unable per se to write, it is more that ‘My health does come first, as it always has. It would be seriously irresponsible for me to continue the series while I still wait for an appointment.’
This does not come as a great surprise to many of her fans, nor her loving family. They had seen her increasingly odd - almost enfant terrible - behaviour over the past ten days, if not earlier. While they did not wish to speculate, saying that 'the writer’s [mental and emotional] health' was 'her own business', they did wish her well and for her to take care of herself first.
Pending cognitive behavioural therapy ‘now with homework! I love homework! It’s so therapeutic!’ - on or before 26.v.2006 - she is attempting to stabilise and make other arrangements towards eventual completion of Autism in the Global Village.
She is at present designing a goal box based on a modified Kohlbergian-Eriksenian model, in which she will put in her co-curricular commitments. She expressed her hope and intention - when her problems are identified, subsequently appropriately treated and stabilized - of writing the final tetralogy to the highly commended Remedial School series after having re-read the third book, written in 1996 - 1997, and the first three chapters of the proposed fourth book.
