Brazil (a story)
Disclaimer: This is my first fanfic on LiveJournal, but it is not my first fanfic ever. Nor is it even my first Monty Python fanfic ever. That was written nearly five years ago.

I would like to thank "junediamanti" for the idea, as she must love the Pythons too.
"He's not the messiah - he's just a naughty ..."
This came from the sound stage. It came from a movie which was very familiar.
"What, you mean Harry Potter?" I asked.
I was very ignorant of all the modern trends out there. And I was ashamed to admit: the boy wizard had passed me by.
It occured to me that it was very similar to Monty Python, which I loved to watch with my Dad and Uncles as a child.
As my friend and I talked further, we laughed at Professor Umbridge being the Minister for Silly Walks ... whoops, I meant education.
Then we talked about what we wanted to see in The Order of the Phoenix.
My friend wanted to see the Wheezles joke shop.
"Just like Monty Python," I riposted.
"Everything comes back to old Mont, doesn't it?" my friend replied.
And we laughed over the Mudbloods and everything.
"Who are the DA?' I wondered.
"You'll just have to find out," my friend said, "You know, you remind me of Luna Lovegood."
Trust my friend to think up a new character in the Potterverse.
"Luna Lovegood! That is such a silly name."
"And her father writes a silly newspaper," said my friend.
I didn't know whether to take that as an insult or a compliment.
On some level, I thought my friend was ribbing me.
I had a similar impression when we read the rumour, last week, that our favourite director in the world would direct Phoenix.
I couldn't believe it. On one level, it seemed as silly and insubstansial as Luna Lovegood's father's newspaper.
But on another level, it had a glow of a prophecy.
Let's hope it won't be cursed.
