Iron Man 2 - opinion-related spoilers

Well, I enjoyed it, made me laugh a lot and I think Don Cheadle did a great job, but without Robert Downey Jr., this movie would have straight-up sucked. I doubt anyone else could have pulled the disparate threads together and made it all seem plausible the way he did when he was onscreen, it suffered when he wasn't there.

It had all these solid pieces, that didn't seem to fit together, but when they did it was amazing.

And for all the fuss they made about The Black Widow? Eh.

Mickey Rourke was also great, but you're sort of thinking like Tony, "you're so smart, you could have done LITERALLY anything else" and it might have all been more worthwhile and also believable.

I loved Paltrow as Pepper last movie, and she kept the thread in this one, but it seemed like the script fiddled with her a bit at points to make the movie run more smoothly. And there was a moment where I thought for a second they were going to do something with her and Rhodey. There was chemistry, or maybe it was just Don Cheadle, I don't know, but it might have been interesting.

Also, the geek shout-outs were pure win (even if they were like product-placement for the Avengers movie) and I loved them.
