All moved in! Yay! The parents, my godfather and his wife and my cousin Mike, Dave, Susan and Mike all helped get me moved in and set up on Saturday. I still need actual seating, right now I have folding chairs and a couple of stools, but other than that, all the big stuff is moved in. This weekend I'm headed back to the parents - so hard not to say "back home" - to sort and pack all the little things, like my books and DVDs for transport as well.
Right now I have no Internet or cable, probably won't worry about the TV but man, I am missing the Internet. Right now I am at my local library, which is like, 3 blocks from my house! So very happy about that.
I also need to shop for food. I have been putting this off until tomorrow, because I haven't had a chance to clean the fridge yet, and buying food for a dirty fridge squicks me out. The stove needs a wipe down as well, at least the outside. The inside is nearly immaculate. I'm living on leftovers at present. Aunt Elvira made roast beef Sunday night and I managed to stretch the meat, rolls, potatoes and salad she gave me into three more meals. Huzzah for Tupperware.
Already had the toilet leak and the dishwasher break. That last one happened this morning, I open it up, pull out the bottom rack and HEY! The spinny bit is no longer connected to anything! Good thing my landlord was coming over already to fix the toilet, he took care of that too. The tile in the bathroom needs to be replaced, more cracked than not, but it's not a pressing concern as yet.
