My feet hurt. A lot. I took my boots off and it hurts to walk. Just sitting they are all tingly, in a bad way. OUCHIE.
Boo at the Zoo was fun. We had the biggest group around, 10 adults, one teenager and one actual child. People loved us in our Harry Potter gear. Check it out:
From left: Back Row: Snape(Mike H.), Dumbledore(Matt), Slytherin One (Jeff), Slytherin Two(Robyn), Professor Sprout(Susan). Front Row: Mad-Eye Moody(Mike S.), Tonks(ME!), Hermione (Karrin), McGonagall(Cathy), Gryffindor Quidditch Player(My cousin Heidi)
Our Moody was asked by a young Jedi boy if he was the real thing, or just an actor. Dumbledore had a nice lady ask how he was doing since he came out of the closet. Susan was just stoked someone recognized her as Sprout. And Jeff's Malfoy cane was badass.
Then of course there was our House Elf Ben:
Who got really tired after seeing the Elephants, Rhinos, Hippopatomuses, Lions, Tigers and Bears (OH MY!), wild dogs and camels, walking in the costume parade, trying out for the best costume contest, taking pictures with all the people at the zoo who thought we were so cool, and riding the train:
It was a good day, a long day, but a good day. We had fun and looked awesome.
My vote for best costume? The little boy (1 or 2 years tops) dressed as Chuckie. Swear to god, he had the overalls, the red shirt, the hair dyed red and standing on end, scars drawn all over his face and a big plastic knife. Like, HOLY CRAP parents! Way to scare the pants off every adult in the zoo.
