Happy Birthday, Alyssa
My niece/goddaughter turns one year old today! What a difference one year can make.
I remember last year pretty well. I remember how she was going to be induced on the 10th, my birthday, which would have been on a Friday. But the already fiercely independent little girl insisted on having a birthday all to herself, and was born on the Monday of that week instead. She's been as stubborn to be independent ever since--she was walking at 8 months already, wanting to chase after her brother and sister, and months ago she started refusing to be fed by anyone (she has to feed herself).
She gets that stubbornness from both sides, but I say her good looks obviously comes from her mom's side of the family :-)
