Barring the bullshit that has happened at work...because that has left me feeling hollowed out and more than a little angry...I need to think and talk about something else. And not about smut, either

I'm not really sure what kind of style you're trying to describe. Are you talking quite short, spiked up in the back? Or bobbed? With the long bang-ish things on the sides, and blunt bangs / side bangs over the forehead? I think a stylist always knows best what to do with hair, especially since your hair is quite thin. If you have any photos of said ideal hair, you should post 'em!
Gotcha! That's what I was picturing. I've seen the style a lot, especially around here, though what I see more often is how weird it begins to look once it grows out too long, LOL. Adam's sister had it for a while, it was super cute.
I think you should just visit a stylist you trust, even if it costs a little bit more. I think investing the money in a good stylist is worth it. Also, if your stylist isn't answering calls, that's their loss. And kinda bad business practice, in my opinion. D:
Aaaanyway, I'd say schedule an appt. and go for it, as long as the stylist is confident. Life is short and hair grows back!
It would be something I'd have to maintain if I wanted it to stay cute, but I'm willing to do that. I've been actually maintaining my trims for once instead of letting my hair go wild for over six months at a time.
My usual stylist is really good, but I swear to God she does not answer her phone. It doesn't help that she has another job and is only in her salon Wednesdays through Fridays, which are days I always have to work. I think I'm going to ask Eric who he went to at these guys because when he went there, his haircut was awesome (not that it isn't now, but you know).
I think I'm gonna try for an appointment later this week, or at the beginning of next. If I'm doing this, I'm not giving myself time to cry or hesitate.
