Merry Belated Christmas to all! ♥ Thanks to my wonderful former ISP, I didn't have Internet for almost two weeks, so I apologize for the late holiday greetings and for being behind on all the events of y'all's lives. T_T I've missed out on a lot. Now I have high speed cable Internet, though, so I have no excuse to miss anything because of lost connection! I can troll all of you to my heart's content!
You haven't missed much here, though. I had Christmas with my grandparents, even though we don't really celebrate it and instead just eat dinner and play games together, and had my twenty-second birthday. *^^* Went to see "Tangled" again, to the point that I know all the songs now and am convinced I'm buying the movie on DVD first thing when it's released, and had Chinese food with my fantastic friends. A happier night, I couldn't ask for! Only three things would've made it better, and those things are Zelly, Mandy, and Tom. But you know what? Holly made me a delicious cake, everybody gave me lots of love, Momo teased me relentlessly (to my enjoyment), Eric bought me my ticket and let me molest him all day, so it was perfect and I wouldn't change it!
It's almost 2011, too. That weirds me out. Feels like 2010 just began, and like so much has happened over the course of this year that it couldn't have fit into twelve months. I'm unsure how to feel about the new year coming, but with the knowledge that it brings new adventures, great times with friends, and much excitement, I'm beginning to feel more excitement than dread. That is where I'm from, Jim - the future. And the future looks bright. The future says run, and I can not only walk, but sprint towards it. I usually do feel pretty confident about the new year and the fun it can bring, and about what I'll do with the time that's given to me. This year, I'm muddled, but I s'pose it's in a positive way. There's too much to do, too many people to molest, not to force myself out of being bewitched, bothered, and bewildered, ya know?
What are people doing for their New Year's? ^_^ You should tell me!
All I'm doing is going to a party with Mandy, Eric, and Tony, working New Year's Eve and New Year's Day with Mandy, and probably celebrating with my family as well. I don't intend on getting trashed to ring in the New Year, though. I have about a million kinds of booze here (my counter is starting to look like a liquor cabinet with all the three-quarters full bottles living there) but I'm not one to use a holiday to drink excessively. The party I'm going to is also a dry party, and I would rather keep it that way. Let us remember, remember, eighteenth of December. XD
xifeng wouldn't forgive me if I decided that passing out in the streets of downtown is a good idea to start 2011, anyway. (Though I know my boss will be doing that, and I should probably alert him to the knowledge that I will pick up any drunk coworkers of mine if need be - we're all close enough that I'd be happy even picking up Kevin. Yes, it's shocking, I know, but I would help a Kevin in need, even if he wouldn't likely do the same for me.)
Tonight, in about two hours, I'm going to Mandy's for the night to play Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, devour jalapeno chips (our gamer's fuel of choice), and giggle foolishly over the game and the chemistry between its main characters. Mandy and Tom have been playing it and tormenting me with comments about how it's an amazing game, so that's it, I'm playing it. I got my S4 on for over five hours last night so I can have no temptation to play that instead!
So tell me about your New Year's plans! I missed everyone's Christmas, so I wanna hear what you'll do to give 2011 a good kick in the pants to start it off. :DDD
