Last night,
evangeline2670 and I went to see a recording of the new BBC Radio 4 show 'The Museum of Curiosity' (see also a recent post about the recording of the same show I went to the other week)
We were rather overjoyed to see Alan Davies joining Martha Reeves (no.. not that one.... Prof Martha Reeves, aka author 'Maggie Ross') and Dr John Gribbin, plus hosts John Lloyd and Bill Bailey for over 2 hours of hugely entertaining and informative discussion about... Epping Forest, Silence and the Big Bang, plus religion, 'God' global warming and deer. As Shel said afterword, it's the kind of show where you really really want to join in the discussion.
I can't wait for them to start broadcasting this series... I'd highly recommend it!
Afterword we headed off in search of some grub and ended up in the Bella Italia on Argyle Street for a nice meal and a bottle of good red before heading home, getting in just after midnight. (and I sorted out downloading Torchwood immediately!)
And tonight I'm going to see the News Quiz (also BBC Radio 4) at Broadcasting House with
d_floorlandmine,
valkyriekaren and a work colleague.
Plus... I have (courtesy of the BBC) plenty of tickets for forthcoming shows:
2 for The Museum of Curiosity Wednesday 23rd Jan at the Pleaasance Theatre (Caledonian Road tube)
4 for The Museum of Curiosity Monday 28th Jan at Broadcasting House (Oxford Circus) (We've got Rasputina in Brixton that evening)
I'll try and find out who the guests will be for those two shows, so watch for edits!
3 for the News Quiz, Thurs 31st Jan, also at Broadcasting House
get in touch if you want them!
