No beating around the bush. I've got Deathscythe completely stripped of weapons and locked down in the hangar right now, but I'm going to be trying to test the ZERO system at full power

Doing the actual testing here because dangit I want to log this outduo_death_godFebruary 9 2011, 03:11:55 UTC
[And so Cagalli found herself behind a console set up next to Deathscythe, with Duo in the cockpit and Axel in his own mech. The two mechs are both connected to a computer that has data from the sim pods set up on it.]
[Duo took a deep breath, booted up the simulation, showing Deathscythe and Soulgain Mugen in a generic, urban environment along a coastline. Then he turned on the ZERO system.
The effect was almost instantaneous. Every time Duo did anything, or even thought of doing anything, his mind flooded with all the possibilities that he was creating. There were hundreds of possibilities, far too much data to keep track of all at once. For several seconds he simply didn't move.]
[Duo watched the fist closing on him in panic. It seemed to be multiplying. A thousand rocket punches were closing in on him, and they were hitting everywhere!
Everywhere but there! There WAS a pattern to the data, though it was almost impossible to grasp for more than a second or two. At the last second, Deathscythe twisted bizarrely and watched the giant fist sail by. The moment of clarity passed and Duo was once again drowning in a sea of possibilities.]
You did fine with that one, Duo... but don't think that's all this machine can do!
[The Soulgain charges quickly afterwards, pulling down its other fist into a punch from below. It's not quite a hook and not quite an uppercut, but it's crackling with energy and looking ready to ruin the virtual Deathscythe.]
[When visions of ten thousand giant fists fill Duo's mind, he panics. Deathscythe goes into straight up retreating panic mode as lights and colors start blending and multiplying around him. Soulgains are everywhere around him!
In panic, Deathscythe starts laying about it for all it's worth. It's probably for the best that it's just the two combatants, but there's a widening circle of destroyed buildings as the Gundam's fangs deploy and start attacking everything in sight. He's not anywhere near the actual Soulgain yet, but it's basically impossible to get near him.]
[The Soulgain curls up to minimize its surface area, but knowing that he'll just be prolonging the inevitable if he doesn't fight back, he snaps open the hatches in the machine's right arm. The Soulgain swiftly kicks up, and out of it shoots a vertical wave of energy at the Deathscythe.]
[Just before the energy wave reach Deathscythe it VANISHES. Soulgain's sensors aren't good enough to pinpoint the stealthed gundam's position. The Fangs continued attacking more or less at random, targeting buildings almost as much as they were targeting Soulgain itself. However, even if they aren't targeting the right thing, they are attacking with ruthless coordination and precision.
Meanwhile, Duo's heart rate and other vitals are really starting to climb towards unhealthy levels.]
[As Duo's vitals go berserk, Cagalli's finger hovers tensely over the kill switch. Still safe, but barely... the moment he crosses the threshold into real danger, she's hitting it - Axel seems to be keeping himself in one piece so far.]
Sneaky bastard... using stealth technology like that.
[With the Deathscythe currently off and who-knows-where, Axel sets about to blast at some of the fangs and take pressure off of him so the Soulgain can work on fixing itself.]
[It's not like Cagalli's interested in the ZERO System or anything. Nope, not one bit.]

[brb making sure she gets all the datas.]

I'm ready...

Alright then Duo. You wanted to do this... let's see what you can do with the Zero System.

Ready when you all are.

[The Soulgain clenched a fist tightly, and a split second later let it loose at the tinier Gundam.]

I'll be relying on your judgment a bit Axel.

Try scaring this off!
