I almost went down in an inferno, and not in the classical sense.

Song: "Lover's Waltz" by AA Bondy. This guy has that folk/rock vibe I love. He's quite crafty at his lyrics and here's a sample from his song "Lover's Waltz":

"And your shipwreck eyes,
They sing to me
As we ride a killer whale
Across a diamond sea
Over our heads, over our heads."

He is reminiscent of Dylan, which is probably why I was initially drawn to him.

Reason for post: My building at school (Wilson Hall) where all the English/fine arts majors reside, was sorta on fire today and I had no idea. I was in class on the top (fourth) floor and had no clue. I got into the hallway and smelled something smokey, but being the English dept. I figured it was a professor burning some incense, you know, stereotypical professor stuff. haha. As I was walking downstairs, the smell was more and more intense and all the doors were open. For some reason, I still hadn't thought anything about it. I got outside, put my ipod on and was groovin' along with Janis Joplin and missed a call. Looked, saw that a guy that never actually calls, (texting is his forte), had called me and I called back, wondering what in hades he wanted. He wanted to make sure I had evacuated the building and was safe. I had no idea what he was talking about.

Apparently, now that our campus is "smoke free" people are finding ways to sneak in a smoke. Somehow, out in a courtyard at the building, someone smoked and a fire ignited. You cannot keep smokers down. They are wily, tricksy creatures. Everyone is safe, luckily. Just another day at Arkansas State. Yes indeed.

class, oblivion, odd
