Going to try to do a meme now that my brain isn't exploding trying to write papers. I wanted to do this music meme to track the music in my life, because everyone has a soundtrack to their lives. I'm also encouraging anyone to do this meme. I'm interested to see how this will look at the end. Like the amazing quote from Across the Universe: "Music's the only thing that makes sense anymore, man. Play it loud enough, it keeps the demons at bay. " Right on Jo-Jo.
The one I picked for my favorite song is "Ramona" by Guster. I have many songs dear to my heart, but this is one of the ones that remains the closest. I chose a live version because it captures the spirit of the song better. The album version on "Keep it Together" is wonderful too. The group is dynamic and Adam Gardner's vocals have the power to control me. Add in Ryan's interlude and Brian on percussion and it's magic to behold. (Sorry for any cruddy audio quality).
