of friends, space heaters, and new music
so my thanksgiving was a little hectic. i worked thursday at GC, opened friday at borders and closed at GC, and then opened saturday at GC. my parents told me they would do a second thanksgiving for me on saturday if i could make it home. i made it home after a 2 HOUR drive. fucking traffic thanks to a small accident. so i was home saturday night and left sunday afternoon to make it back for work. i closed at work, get home, eat something and sit down to write my history paper that was due the next day. my computer was dying so i go to reach for my charger...that i left in moorpark. panic sets in. the room almost started spinning. i call josh. he is cool with letting me borrow his laptop so i set off for IV. as i am driving over, josh calls me to tell me that kyle, his roommate, needed the usb keyboard he was gonna let me borrow. shit. i call eric. he doesnt have a laptop but hands the phone to his roommate anthony. after explaining my situation he is cool with letting me borrow it. this history paper must be the fastest one i have ever finished. anthony even told me the computer had roller coaster tycoon on it and i didnt touch it. seriously, no internet, no games. fastest paper ever. i still owe anthony cookies. maybe i will drug the cookies in order to get the key to eric's heart which another story in itself.
monday night i was hanging out (i needed it after the whirlwind of the week before/weekend) and amber got home. it was fucking freezing outside. basically i am in love with space heaters now. amber and i live in goleta in a place up past the hospital. where we live has been nicknamed zombie island by our friends. it is cold and dark up here. so as i was getting ready for bed i am wondering out loud why the hell the heat doesnt wander into my room. it makes it to the bathroom and kitchen but it cant make it one room farther. amber pointed out the space heater and now it and i are best of friends.
i am soooo excited for january. not only is it my 21st birthday (which i cant wait for) but ayreon's new album comes out 2 days later. yay! i love that the teaser trailer alone is able to get me way excited and start listening to them again cuz its been a while :)
