A very good time. The highlight of my W/E was a solo module and the resulting RP with outlawblade and jjmarika. It was some of the most intensive RP I've had in years. It definitely solidified my character for me.
The event had a good mix of of RP, mods, and town fights - but we had a very hard time making enough money for food. I do have some issues with NPC vs PC balancing as it seems spell casters get a very poor return on XP spent. It only impacts me for healing - so I'm all set, but offensive casters are at an extreme disadvantage. The majority of the creatures we encountered seemed to be able to shrug off the effects of a single spell, and most casters don't have another one until the next shift/watch. A lot of casters were grumpy over it.
It's been awesome finally getting back onto the PC side of LARP'ing. I just don't get that involved or immersed in my NPCs, too many other considerations for that level of RP. It really drove home the point that its been too long since I PC'ed regularly. The plots I've written have no doubt suffered for it, but no longer! I'm back to PC'ing, and plan on staying with it.
