Parallax???
Can the concept of parallax apply to time as well as space? Technically speaking distance applies to both.
Well, the spirals are treating me well. Although the conversations with the Kangaroo have been difficult these days I feel that I have made the right decision to do another year here. Things are falling into place I just need to keep my eyes in the prize and a fire under my ass. I have decided to finally take a pro-active position with the Clock situation, and how much is disgusts me. I just hope I don't regret it. I made an analogy to it there other day. Something like:
Writing for the clock and having my name on it and then trying to become a writer is like posing nude and then becoming a kindergarten teacher....it will bite you in the ass someday.
pray to prove me wrong.
Although I will be becoming a staff memeber. This will surely not be the end of my scathing letters to the editor.

I got out of the pool this afternoon and a woman with a lovely and subtle shetland-isle accent asked me if I had been to New Zealand in reference to the flag on my nalgene bottle. I told her that i had studied there and she told me that she was going there soon as she jsut wrote a book about muntiny on the bounty...you know, Capt. Cook and all, and the massacres on the pac. isles I presume (YAH BRYSON).
Anyhow the conversation continued and I told her about my indy. study project. She is stoked on being a test subject, which is fantastic as she really is the embodiment of my target audience. She is 48 and super fit. Over our brief encounter she gave me a slew of new ideas and also assured me that there is a need for my book out there and a big market for it.
She also revealed that she writes for both National Geographic and The New Yorker. So clearly she must be fantastic. I am going to look up some of her work tonight I reckon.
In parting she gave me her contact information and said that when I get to the stage of querying publishers for my book to be sure to contact her because she has excellent connections! Unreal!!! It's hard to believe that I could get any more motivated with this project. I just hope that I do not dissappoint.
I have the day off from the inferno tomorrow so I am going my folks house tonight. Go for a long run in my old stomping grounds tomorrow and hopefully get a lot of writing done. There are somw books there that I need to pull quotes from.
