*The Great Lakes Experience*
So...Im sure that all of you, all of you who read this, that is, have, either, heard from me or read in my away messages/profile that this past weekend was the best weekend of my life. How true that is...
Rickys parents and sister, Cassie, picked me up at 05:45 on Thursday, April 1st. After stopping at Dunkin Donuts, to grab an iced coffee, we headed toward the Manchester Airport. Our flight departed at 09:10 and arrived in Chicagos OHare Airport at 10:55. Once we landed, we went to pick up our car, which was a Stratus, and headed to our motel, The Red Carpet Inn. The motel was about a mile from the base. (You dont even know how hard it was to be within a mile of Ricky and not even be able to touch him. Luckily that didnt last for too long.)
As soon as we settled into the hotel, Cassie and I headed over to Flannigans, a Greek restaurant next door to the motel. We got a take-out order, but the people were so nice that we decided to tip them. LoL. When we got the food, we headed back to our room, and the two of us just sat around and watched T.V. for a few hours. I ended up dozing off for a few minutes, but not much longer than that. A little later, Rickys parents knocked on our door, and asked us what we wanted to do. We all decided to we wanted to get something to eat and do a little shopping, so we headed to the Gurnee Mills Mall, which is the coolest/scariest mall ever! It never ends! And its not a circle either! (Okay, You got me, It ends, But it is 2 Miles Long!) Once Cassie and I were scared shitless, we found our way out and headed home. LoL. At some point, we both drifted off, and my alarm started beeping at 03:30.
I got up, had a shower, dried my hair, put on my make-up, and got dressed. By the time I was finished with all of that, it was time to leave for Rickys graduation!!!!! We stopped for an iced coffee on the way. (At what I think is the only Dunkin Donuts in Illinois. LoL) We got to the base parking lot around 05:45 and had to wait there until 06:30 before we could move to another parking lot. At that time, we entered a waiting area, where we had to stay until 07:30. When 07:30 came, we were taken to the drill hall. We saw Ricky immediately!!!!! It was like I was seeing him for the first time all over again. I had butterflies in my stomach, and I became shy and bashful. Even though he was about 10-20 feet away, I blushed every time I looked over at him. The graduation was great, and Ricky looked so handsome as he performed his body snatcher duties. (A body snatcher is the person who goes throughout the lines of the Navy graduates and pulls them out of the group if they faint.) Immediately after the ceremony finished, around 11:00, and liberty was called, Ricky ran over to me and kisses my forehead. (Hes not allowed to show public displays of affection.) After his kissed my forehead, I wasnt shy anymore. He, then, held my hand and led me out, while he leaned over to tell me how much he loves me and how beautiful I am. At that moment, I felt like we had never been separated and no time had passed. *Blushes* We headed back to the hotel, and we just held each other and cuddled!!!!! I missed that so much!!!!! After lots and lots of cuddles, it was time for all of us, Ricky, Rickys parents, Cassie, and me to go to the mall/out to eat. We went to the Outback because its one of Rickys favorite restaurants. It was very yummy! Once we finished eating, we all went into Cassie and my room, and Ricky ate way too much chocolate. LoL. He hadnt eaten chocolate for two months before that, so needless to say, he became very hyper! LoL. He ripped the green blanket off my bed, and wore it as a cape, and started jumping from bed to bed. LMAO. Then, he used it as a hoola skirt and started dancing. ROTF. The night had to end at 20:00, though, so that he could be back in quarters by 20:30.
The next morning, Rickys dad, Cassie, and I were able to pick Ricky up at 07:30. While Cassie and I were waiting for him, a car pulled up next two us, and two guys from Wisconsin started shouting, Hey Baby.Roll Down Your Window. We couldnt even look in their direction. We just wanted Ricky to come save us. LoL. They ended up leaving two seconds before Ricky came out.
On our way back to the motel, Cassie says, Watch them be here, and, sure enough, they were. We almost died. Ricky wanted to go over and kick their asses, but instead, we headed inside the room and waited for Rickys mom to wake up, because we didnt want him screwing up his liberty.
Ricky wasnt feeling too good due to the civilian food that he had eaten the day before. He asked his parents if him and I could just stay in while they went out to breakfast, but his dad wasnt having it. We all headed out to IHOP to grab some breakfast, and then, Ricky and I were able to cuddle again!!!!! Ahh!!!!! I Miss It!!!!! We were just alone in the room cuddling and telling each other how much we love one another. It was so perfect!!!!! Being in Rickys arms is easily my favorite place in the world!!!!! Unfortunately, cuddle time had to end, and we headed to the movies to see Hell Boy. I dont think that anyone was really a fan because it was overly cheesy.
On the way home, we picked up some White Castle burgers, which are extremely disgusting. I wouldnt recommend them unless you like your burgers to taste like steamed, old, mediocre sausage. Besides White Castle Burgers, we ordered 2 pizzas and a box of Cheesy Dots from Dominos. Those dots are so yummy!
When everyone was finished eating, Ricky wanted some more alone time with me. I love being alone with him. His family is great, but when were alone, its just so special. After cuddling for a while, it was time for him to go back to the base, again, so that he could be back for 20:30.
At 07:50 on Sunday, Ricky pounded on the door. I was till in bed, but Id been awake for a while, just waiting for him to come home. He immediately jumped into bed and cuddled up next to me. Cassie finished packing and let us be alone until checkout at 12:00. At 12:00, we finished up our cuddles, and moved into Rickys parents room because they had their room until the next day. A few minutes later, Ricky and I took a walk to Dunkin Donuts, but it was closed. After that, we sat in the room until it was time to leave fro the airport at 15:30. I couldnt hold back my tears anymore. At that point, I felt like I had just gotten there and he was being ripped away from me. At the airport, I leaned on him, and he held me until I had to go through security at 17:00. Our last goodbye was so sad. I gave him a long hug before I had to turn and make it to my flight. That was the hardest thing I have ever done. I love him so much!!!!! Im going to marry that sailor!!!!!
On a happier note, I plan to head out there for a weekend in early June and a little over a week in mid-July. Also, hell be coming home for a week or two in August before he heads out to BUD/S. This summer is going to be amazing!!!!! I cant even wait!!!!! And, Hes also going to be able to get on-line now because hes allowed to use the computers on base and he is going to buy his own computer too!!!!!
