Politics Update

Well, Bill Richardson just dropped out of the race, which means that I can't vote in the Democratic Party primary this year. I'm registered as "Unenrolled", so I can easily vote in the Republican primary.

I guess I'll just have to keep campaigning for Ron Paul. I say "keep" because I did a little bit of campaigning for him in New Hampshire last weekend. I also dropped some door hangers of his on NH cars at the Holyoke Mall.

Why am I supporting Ron Paul when I disagree with him on numerous issues? Because he (and Mike Gravel) are the only candidates trying to prevent the impending implosion of the American economy:

How's this for being willing to work with Democrats? There's some strong speculation that Ron Paul would pick Dennis Kucinich as his running mate:

Did you know that Ron Paul was one of GQ's Men of the Year? Specifically, "Dark Horse of the Year":

Apparently, even the Huckabee supporters are thinking about endorsing Ron Paul:

Ron Paul also has a bit of geek-cred:

"Does this mean our campaign has done everything right? No! We have made mistakes, and will make them again. Not only because errors are to be found in any human endeavor, but because an effort like this, to repeal a hundred years and more of evil, is brand-new on the face of the earth. But now is the time to stick together like the brothers and sisters we are, to stand side by side in this fight against the media toadies, warmongers, and Wall Street rip-off artists who stand against us, and who always remind me of Tolkein's Orcs."

You can sign up to help Ron Paul win the nomination, and thus help you win your country back:
