weekly art update

k so i figured i would just make weekly updates on my projects both in progress and ones i finish.  sound good?

first an update on sherman

here he is freshly pink out of the bisque fire



here he is all painted and ready for glaze firing.  (the glazes look totally different from their final color by the way. damn confusing sometimes)



cant wait to see him done on monday!

current assignment is to make a plaster mold of an object and then use the castings in a sculture.

here is the foam skull i chose to mold.  this is when i started plugging holes that would make the mold unremoveable.



here is the plaster mold.  had a fricken bubble form on his upper lip are that messed it up but its okay.



and here is the first casting i made.  needs post carving since i had to fill so much of the original but it at least provides a base.



now to make the sculpture from it.  i am thinking satanic ceremonial bowl maybe? hehe

and just for giggles here is the dorktastic fedora i decorated for my job at the bowling alley since our boss said we had to dress up for kid parties. our uniforms the colors orange, green, white and black in them just to explain the color scheme.



and for "aww so cute" s here is my beagle when we wanted to give her a bath.  for some reason she goes willingly (just turn your head sideways to watch it haha)

EDIT:  oh and i am working on a project for DigiArt class that is a book cover and i was thinkin of making one of an imaginary harry potter fan art collection.  any suggestion for cover pieces would be greatly appreciated because i cant decide.
