HOME!
We're just back from Dublin...
Firstly I'd like to thank Fro, Breandy, Kristian, David and James for having me, Kev & JP all weekend long in their flats... It really was the most amazing time ever...
Rite, heres a recap...
FRIDAY:
Me, Kev & JP met up in the depot and started our 5 hour bus journey to Dublin City. During this period JP & I decide to join 'Pro-Gym' as soon as we get cash. Fro & James met us of the bus and we headed back to the apartment for 'Godfathers' pizza and possibly 'Black Books'. (I can't remember) Then the whole group headed out to a bar called 'J.J. Smiths', the coolest fucking (& only) Jazz club I've ever been too. We managed to get home around 3 (i think)... The phrase 'Tonto!' was born...
SATURDAY:
We all slept in after a hectic nite and then the group headed into the city centre where we visited various stores and took in some sights. The best shop had to be Dublins 'Forbidden Planet'. The day was kind of a blur, but we headed out that night to a local Irish pub. Where you were only allowed to speak Irish. Me & JP were fucked then. We were referred to as people from the 'Black North'... Got home around 3 and played Micro Machines '96. The megadrive fucking rocks.
SUNDAY:
JP & myself got up around 12 and sat and played Micro Machines until 4pm. It was at this point hasty decisions were made and it ended up that we missed the last bus outta Dublin. So we just kept playing Micro Machines. JP & myself pulled (a rather foolish) all-niter, which possibly wasn't the best idea in the world. We sat up and cleaned the kitchen then completed 'Streets Of Rage'.
MONDAY:
We then played other random games and the morning (e.g. 6am onward) began with 'Anger Managment' on DVD, followed by 'The Undertones' documentary... We then made a mad sprint across Dublin (me, Kev & JP), breaking the law in the process and made it to the bus depot in 1/2 hour... Then a god-awful 5 hour bus ride ensued because the driver didn't have a fuckin clue where he was going and actually got passengers to give him directions...
THAT WAS OUR WEEKEND...
It was fun.
Must go visit Niamhus and then sleep...
