Drive Angry
It was the BF's turn to choose our cinema entertainment this week, as you can clearly tell from the synopsis of that movie:
A vengeful father escapes from hell and chases after the men who killed his daughter and kidnapped his granddaughter. (imdb.com)
You cannot imagine how unintentionally funny that movie is. I imagine its birth somehow like this: The producers spent all their money to get 3D and Nicholas Cage. Then they run out of ideas. So they ask Cage what he wants, and he says something like "I want CARS. And, and WOMEN. NAKED WOMEN who WANT ME. And EXPLOSIONS. And I'm that morally ambiguous but awesome guy who's totally EMO but fighting EVIL. Maybe EVIL SATANISTS. And I KICK THEIR ASSES and there's VIOLENCE and awesome EXPLOSIONS. And my co-star has to be seriously HOT."

Ahem. I loved it. It's not high-brow cinema, but the 3D is great and it's one of these movies that knows exactly how crap it is but doesn't really care. Fetch me more popcorn. ^^
