Wow, just... wow.

That's brilliant.

I love how it shows how Rose must have grown and changed in her time apart from the Doctor. And how 10.2 was so different from 10, but so like 9. But Rose already healed 9, and just couldn't do it over again, because she is not the same.

I just like that it pointed out how fucking unfair it all is to Rose. Besides the Doctor making her choices for her, again, he just expects to fob this imperfect duplicate off on her, and for everything to be fine! I really don't like the fic that make everything okay immediately. I liked that you went to the other extreme. It's not ever going to magically be 'okay', but she's working on it.

Aaaaand, I'm a glutton for angst. What can I say? ^_^'

I've not read any of the fixit fic. I haven't read fic that wasn't posted or linked to from my flist for well, years probably. Actually that's not true, but I have a tendency to read what's on my flist. But then I have some very talented writers on my flist. But that said I'm going to stick the feedback pattern the only writers circle I've been part of always stuck to: one good thing, one bad thing, overall impression

Oh, that Nine/Rose/Jack fic, now you're saying something, I totally forgot about that! Will maybe post it soon...

There are no happily ever afters, are there? I love to see them be together but not for seeing them off into the sunset, that was my main point why I didn't like the solution with Rose and clone!Doc.

Excellent! I'm not a big Ten/ Rose shipper, so I haven't read most of the fixit fic. I love the irony in the solution Rose finds, which is even more morally dodgy than the Doctor's actions in the finale, but has the same characteristic of doing what they think is best without giving the other a choice. I also like the echoes both of fob-watched! John Smith in the job as an artist, and the echo of the Doctor in the choice of an unreliable, old blue vehicle for somewhat unplanned trips...

Wow. This story is just raw and absolutely perfect. Of all the fix-it's I've read this is the one I've been waiting for. Rose is absolutely not the same person she was, she couldn't be, and the burden she's been charged with is not fair for either of them. She's become the Doctor in so many ways and nothing proves it more than wiping a mind that was slowly killing itself.

The wrongness of all this shines through the happy ending, but it's so very much echoes how the Doctor deals with everything that it's utterly brilliant.
