Last night was fun. Drunkery with 40s, Orion came by and powered up with us. Got hit on by some blonde chick in the Quiznos- hoorah!
So today wasn't too bad. Stayed home from work on account of being sick. However, I was feeling better so I went to the pool and got about 1200 yards in. Unfortunately found out the cute lifeguard is being fired. That sucks- Cruel Fate: 1, Jim: 0. So then I drove out to play soccer. Decided after warming up and running that I wasn't feeling like a champion- so I went to leave. Accidentally locked my keys in my trunk- Cruel Fate: 2, Jim: 0. So I'm like "fuck it. Might as well stay and play a bit." So the game was going pretty well actually, I managed to play decently. Until one of the guys on the other team boots the ball point blank into my groin- Cruel Fate: 3, Jim: 0. Hit the frank and beans BOTH! I was down for the count.
However, it was the same guy I've been teaching to swim. So he bought me dinner when we all went out after the game (I jimmied the lock to get into my apartment and grab my spare car keys). The guy bought me dinner, and we all laughed about the testicular trauma- Cruel Fate: 3, Jim: 1.
So technically I lose- but other than the sickness, I feel GREAT! Tomorrow's Nick's bday party, and it's gonna be off the chain like we just broke out.
