This was my sunday...
So this is what i basically do when i make a piece. It starts here...in a pile of magazines in my kitchen.
Placement, I do this for a little while, pulling stuff out and adding stuff in.
mixing oil colours in tins. Electric skillets are also handy for heating up palette knives and melting pastels / crayons on.
Base, about 3 coats of wax goes on as a base. First base takes the main photocopy transfer. Its kind of neat because you stick it on then, rub it down, then scrub the paper off leaving just the ink.
More placement of items...before layering
And its basically just a lot of layering and scraping back of build up. You finish it off a few times with a heat gun to get a semi-gloss top.
Detail, usually I toss in some lettraset too.
I'm rather fond of sundays like this.
