Glad that y'all made it safe, but by-Euler, get some sleep! As for weather, you've picked a near perfect time to travel to Florida. With the Eastern U.S. going into a zonal pattern, we won't see much for frontal passages here. That means little in the way of rain and no significant "cold" outbreaks.
For the Kissimmee and Orlando area, look for daytime temperatures in the upper 70's, nighttime lows around 60. No weather hazards, but watch out for some possible late night/early AM fog if out and about. For South Florida, later this week, expect plenty of sunshine, daytime temperatures around 80, nighttime in the upper 70's. It looks like it'll be fine beach weather. :-)
Oh, I got plenty of sleep last night! *Snickerwoofs* I didn't get up this morning until a little after 10, so I had a decent night's rest, which was so very wonderful. ^^ And so far as we can tell, I quite agree- the weather is great! *Wags with a happy bark* Especially compared to Ohio right now!
I'd seen that there was mention of a thunderstorm or some sort tomorrow, which I do hope turns out to be false, seeing as we'll be at Disney tomorrow. Regardless, I think we won't be out too early to worry about the fog, though I'll certainly keep it in mind for the drive back tomorrow night. Thank you. ^^ *Tail sways a bit more* And yay! Beach weather! *Noses* Do you suppose you and the Loopter will at all mind going, again? I hardly wish to force you to do such, and if nothing else, Dan and I could try to go on Thursday afternoon when we come down...
Should be rain-free tomorrow; perhaps a quick passing shower, but I'd be surprised if any t'storms cropped-up.
As for the beach; heck no, it's one of South Florida's prime attractions. We all can go on Thursday afternoon or on Friday. Otherwise, the local attractions include the mall, snoody downtown Mizner Park, and if you'd like something new, we could always hop down to Fort Lauderdale (Friday might be the best day for that; gets a bit quieter on Saturday). Eitherway, let me know whenever as to which you'd prefer. ^^
Alrighty... I'll hope to try and catch you then. ^^ I believe we'll be going out to see Bolt that night. *Muses* Number 4 for me! *Barks*
Check-out time is 11, here... So we could be down there at around 2pm or so, unless you'd prefer something a bit later? If so, we could probably find something to waste some time for a bit to arrive at a later time you may desire. ^^
2PM seems fine to me. You'll avoid rush-hour traffic that way, too. I might be still in a bit of a coffee-haze around then, but we'll see! :-p
Also - let me know what you'd like to do/plan for Thursday-night and/or Friday dinners. We can go out for dinner one night (which I can afford), both nights (which I can't afford unless we split costs somehow), or I can cook-up something here one night. I have a nice roasting chicken that we could cook, but I'll need at least 24 hours notice on it so I can thaw it.
:-)
Oh for travel... You can use the Florida Turnpike to save about 30-mins of travel, but it has tolls. The alternate route is to take the "Beachline" 528(most call it the old name - "Beeline") east to Interstate 95 at Cocoa, then head south on I-95. For reference, I'm off of Exit 45, Glades Road.
Ah, we can certainly go out to eat somewhere one of the nights if you'd like? I think that Dan would enjoy the Baja Cafe, and I quite liked it when we went, m'self. If it's alright with you and the Loopter, that is...? Also, as a side-note, Dan and I would like to pay for dinner that night, since it's the least we can do.
As for cooking, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, the chicken sounds quite delightful. ^^ *Wags his tail a bit* I'd certainly not mind lending a paw if you'd like?
I do hope that you've called us in to the gate? *Snickerwoofs* I'll be sure to give you a call when we're inside the gate and circling around to your drive, etc. For now, though, I'm off to bed... Do take care, sir jackal! ^^
Sounds like we have some options, and many thanks to Dan for such a generous offer. Baja Cafe is uber affordable, too, so there's a plus. I'd still like to take y' both to Coalmine Pizza one night, as well, for they make some of the best pizza on the East Coast (recently had a visit from Food Network, I understand).
Thanks for the gate reminder! ^^ Drive safe (but I trust you're already on the road).
And... what would y'all like to do for dinner on Thursday & Friday?
I was thinking we could head over to one of the local restaurants I know on one of the days. Otherwise we could do another restaurant one night (plenty to choose from in Boca) or I could cook something at the house. Some possible home-cooked main course ideas...
- Shrimp Destin with rice or couscous - Thai stir-fry (could include chicken, shrimp, or be just veggy for health) - Chicken fajitas - Roasted whole chicken or game hen - Baked tilapia (or other fish, depending on the availability) - Chicken Tuscanny (chicken w. red onion, tomatoes, garlic, served over fettucini)
And restaurant suggestions...
- Coal Mine Pizza - Cafe Bellino (Italian place we went to when you visited last) - Baja Cafe (Cali-Mex place we went to when you visited last) - Grand Lux
