oh you must visit the dca then. i love it. contemporary arts centre, and it has a cinema which sometimes shows nice arthouse/foreign films as well as the blockbusters, so you should check out its showings. the gallery's small but sometimes has some wonderful stuff, and it runs classes sometimes too, so if you had a bit of dosh left over could think about that? nice cafe-bar there too which sometimes has live music.

Stuff to do in the 'Dee. faroon December 24 2006, 19:51:06 UTC
Weeeeeeeeell. There's loads to do up here!

You should visit Discovery, as that's our proudest monument - see how Scott did it.

You should climb the law, best views over Fife.

Go to Tensmuir beach over the bridge into Fife, past Tayport.

You should try to get to St Andrews, but the best Fish Supper is in Anstruther. Crail has a nice pottery/craft centre.

If it's nice, you can go up to Glenshee to have a walk about - if it's snowing, you can even ski.

Arbroath is nice.

The Jute Mills should be open in the New Year.

To eat out you must go to Bon-Appetite ( www.bonappetit-dundee.com to see the menu), book ahead though - it's popular. Audrey and John make lovely food, and the wine list is excellent.

Broughty Ferry is worth a trip, the castle is nice.

There's a few decent pubs etc in the centre that do veggie options. Try Malones or The Globe. In Broughty Ferry you can find Wigmores which is a bit fancier.
As for things to do, yes, you do have the Law and the Discovery. You also have the Unicorn if you like old ships...
