So I was inspired by Wat's earlier entry and I donated some O positive blood on Thursday. As I arrive at the donor station I notice a big sign reading "CLOSED". WTF I DID NOT JUST DRIVE ALL THE WAY HERE FOR NOTHING!! After further exploration of the area I discovered the Red Cross had temporarily moved to another shop down the way for renovation purposes. I then proceeded to go through the montage of rigoddamndiculous questions that are required before the leakage of blood begins. (Too bad I lied about going to Africa and having sex with all the males in the area, even the homosexual males who have had sex with another male before 1970) Anyway, I return home and Donna has the brilliant idea of mowing the yard. Well, after two hours in the sun I felt like shit. I had to call in to Kroger and tell them I was going to be late. I felt much better at 5 o'clock when I arrive at Kroger for my LAST DAY EVER working in hell. And on Saturday was my last day working at the hospital. It is nice that I don't have to work anymore, for a while at least. Today my mom woke us up at 9:00 and we went into the yard to clean up the tree that had broken during a storm a couple weeks ago. We didn't get back inside until 1:30. I was covered in saw dust, dirt, sweat, and other debris. So much of the tree is missing and there is a gaping whole in our sylvan blockade of the world around us. I hope another tree doesn't break cause we have enough firewood to last through three blizzards even if the electricity goes out. sigh. Tomorrow I am leaving for a 10 day bonanza with the fam. It will be hell trapped in a car/hotel room/nature trail with my family for ten days, but oh well I won't be seeing them much in a few weeks. Well I guess I better start packing, nah.
