Review:

Settings ==> The time setting is really blurry, the story itself is rather timeless in terms of canon arcs. The elements of highlander universe are used very superficially, they give an excuse to create a "Survivor" episode. The world described though is believable and "seems" real at least.

Characters ==> As far as I'm concerned I really like this author's Methos, even if sometimes it dangerously flirts with heroworship, she really managed to stay at a certain distance making him really canon. Duncan for his part is rather coherent and consistent with his canon self. Joe and Amy are maybe too disregarded as we could expect for regular characters. They are treated the same way the original ones are, they are placed in the background intentionally and lack of characterization but altogether they are well thought-out.

Plot ==> The plot is too linear, things happen without far-thinking and don't have a lot of sense or purpose. It's really a succession of different events that lack of emotional involvement. But taking them one by one, these events are really interesting and worthy. They are set in an appealing way and rings true.

Style ==> There has been a lot less thinking put into this story and the staging flashes as clumsy and shoddy. However the writing in itself has no particular flaw and the style of the author is quite recognizable when it comes to the characterization which I find very fresh and appealing.

Interest ==> The "Stranded on an Island" part was really pleasurable. That and the Bastard behaviour of Duncan make this fic worthy of your reading... if you are a bit like me.

In conclusion ==> This fic has many flaws and many qualities. My advice: Don't expect a masterpiece and just enjoy.
