Review:
Settings ==> The author says AU (Alternate Universe) but really it seems more real than the series. The story fits perfectly in the timeline (after Horsemen, Revelation and Prometheus episodes), it takes lot of past events and turn them into something fresh, complex and highly addictive. The whole universe with a fair amount of appropriate and tasteful flashbacks stands fast and strong making the reading a delightful and delicious treat.
Characters ==> They aren't exactly canon but they are so sweet under the teeth that it melts and leaves a enticing taste in your mouth and a warm fuzzy feeling in your body. So the characters at times are stereotypical, certain traits too accentued but it's easily forgotten. The original characters are extraordinary, really. I have rarely seen so much material weaved around original characters that magnifies so much the story and sheds even more light on the main characters.
Plot ==> Several threads and arcs, several perspectives. A strong main plot not just standing there but born from the fusion and profusion of everything going around. Really a masterpiece, great work, great thinking, I can only bowed down and revere.
Style ==> An enjoyable style that points up character interactions over inner dialogues which is really fresh and just pleasurable getting into the particular friendship atmosphere. The action scenes are somehow a little bit lacking of intensity, they tend to be too hurried and quickly settled. But it doesn't really affect the story. However, the flashbacks are absolutely splendid, magnificent, gorgeous. The prose and language fits so well, I can just hear Sebastian "phrasé"...
Interest ==> The beginning is slow setting a light tone. All along this light tone come back time to time interlacing with action, History, tragedy, humour, lyric tone. Each tone lighting a spark, a flame, a fire. You never get bored and you got badly hooked, no doubt. To D/M fans, don't worry, there're tons of Ship, you'll be completely satiated.
In conlusion ==> Even if everyone gets a piece of the cake, it is mainly a Methos Fic. But I won't complain , I'm a big fan of Methos. As you can see above, there're many reasons you should read this fic. But there's something that I care above all and that is present in quantity in that story, I'm talking about what is called originality. This story is just unique.
