(no subject)
it is a random act, my lj updating, but i was in the mood. things have been a little lonely here since my brother and sister are gone for this month. i cant say that i would like being an only child. however its been fine so far. since i never update, its rather pointless to fill you in on all since my latest, so ill just talk about tonight.
family isnt necessarily defined by blood. its corey's 18th birthday and the lewsons invited my family to cor's grandpa's house for dinner this evening. i've never felt more in my element. the scene- all of sitting around a small table, feeling a little light headed from the champagne, talking/screaming (since grandpa silverman is nearly deaf). the laughter was incredible. you could just feel it. the it dosent describe any one or certain thing. its just an unstated, tangible warmth. we sat for hours telling old stories. some we'd heard or told so many times before, however no one was stopped when a repeated story arose. we laughed just the same. havent felt that, for lack of better word, comfortable in a long time. it was just nice. (smiles)
