This is her latest Anita Blake novel or novella depending on how you decide such things. She seems to be getting back to the type of stories that made me like this series in the first place. There was a zombie raising, inner turmoil over emotions instead of sex, and dealings with other law enforcement agencies. Plus she fleshed out Micah's character. He has been a background character for the most part which has always been odd to me since Anita lives with him. I have hopes that the new full length novel will not just be one sex scene after another. I will be very, very annoyed if this novella is incorporated into the new novel. She has done that before with short stories. I hate spending money on the same material twice.

Am I making progress? I can't decide. I did read this in one night though. Smut is fun.
