i never gave a damn about the weather, and it never gave a damn about me

Vegas was AMAZING! We stayed downtown for a few nights, which is very cool. The vibe is more chill and less forced-glamour, and the drinks specials are better and the gambling is cheaper. I still lost $30 on roulette and blackjack, and it was very hard for me to lose that money. It was worse, however, that I left my fairly new trenchcoat in the closet at the Signature...and never got it back. I called the place a few times, but even after the next guests had checked into the room, no dice. So, I went to Burlington Coat Factory today and bought an exact replica (in one size smaller, a 14 instead of a 16, so it actually fits better even though it's still large).

*sigh* It's good to have my coat back. Sort of.

Brandon's Vegas entry is pretty awesome, check it out: themuzition

Also, we went to the Grand Canyon. It is LARGE. And pretty. (And cold.) It looks like a painting smacked against the sky, and we stayed there a disarmingly short time for as long as we drove through Arizona to get there. Arizona sucks, by the way, there's nothing there. And the Hoover Dam was cooler than I thought, but we didn't go on the dam tour. I haven't put my pictures on facebook yet. It's been a long weekend/start of school. I'm really tired, but I would rather go work out than nap--make a note, this may never happen again--and I'll probably head to the gym once I get done with lesson planning and junk.

OK bye.
